Scott Smith

Scott is a passionate community activist who is looking forward to working with the Greener Village team as it grows and helps an increasing amount of people in the Fredericton Area.

 

Scott is an effective organizer capable of making concepts become reality through his broad vision, attention to detail, and personable style of management. He is known for his capacity for critical analysis, imaginative solutions to problems, and his exciting public speaking. Scott brings with him years of volunteer experience from being on numerous boards and committees, including three terms as Vice President of Judo New Brunswick, three terms as the Chair of a Local Service District Advisory Committee (Rusagonis-Waasis), and three terms as Vice-Chair for Fredericton’s Regional Service Commission. In these roles, Scott has participated and chaired numerous committees, dealing with a wide range of topics and people. Recently, he has volunteered for Easter Seals NB and Aids NB and remains an advocate for the Fredericton region. Scott has a Master of Arts (History/International Relations) from Wilfrid Laurier University and was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for nearly three decades.

 

Scott is enthusiastic about joining the Greener Village team and hopes his skills and experience will be a benefit to its Board.
