About Greener Village

Greener Village (Fredericton Food Bank) is a charitable organization serving over 2,200 clients per month. We provide food, clothing and opportunities people need on their journey to self-sufficiency. With a small staff, we rely on volunteers to help us be able to operate the Unique Boutique, Backpack Program, Angel Tree Program, Learning Kitchen, Community Volunteer Income Tax Program and Community Gardens.

Position Purpose

The Office Manager reports to the Director of Finance, and is responsible for data entry, receipting, preparing bank deposits and maintaining security protocols and confidentiality. The Office Manager oversees, trains and manages daily Admin volunteers. The Office Manager is responsible for administrative procedures, providing support to departments and programs as required, and coordinating the procurement of admin services and supplies.

General Day to Day Responsibilities and Duties

These duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • To serve as a liaison between staff, donors, various agencies and stakeholders. Oversees and administers efficient donor receipting in CRM, coordinates Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, coordinates office functions including mail, time sheets, banking, reconciliation and provides support for seasonal programs, services and fundraising as required
  • To provide admin related training to volunteers/seasonal staff/interns, establishes work priorities and delegates tasks to ensure timelines are met
  • To oversee, implement and coordinate policies related to release of records under government access to information and privacy legislation, and
  • To be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining admin policies and procedures to increase efficiency, and enhance overall service delivery
  • To maintain current and historical data and provide regular monthly reports with recommendations for enhancements, administrative concerns and highlights, and other reporting as needed

Education and Experience

  • Successful candidates for this position require a diploma or combination of relevant education, professional experience, and industry training
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in related administration positions
  • Clean Criminal Record Check
  • Raiser’s Edge Experience an asset

  • Possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multi-faceted demands and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented, yet flexible with an adaptable personal style.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Have strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings and events in evenings and/or on weekends.
