At Greener Village, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. From packing hampers and tending our gardens to sharing skills in the Learning Kitchen or supporting fundraising events, each person who gives their time helps build a stronger, more resilient community. This page is dedicated to recognizing the many hands that power our work, and to celebrating the spirit of generosity that brings our mission to life.

Ken Little Community Builder Award
Ken Little began volunteering with Greener Village after his retirement, packing grocery boxes for clients. Before long, his passion for people and pursuit of strategic growth became a key influence in Greener Village becoming the organization we are today. Ken was instrumental in building Greener Village into the community we are today: a food bank, a learning kitchen, a unique boutique, community gardens and more.
The Ken Little Community Builder Award will be presented to recognize a volunteer with Greener Village who embodies the spirit with which Ken gave freely: a collaborator, a connector, a mentor, and a passionate advocate for a better future.
Nominations will be accepted until March 13, 2026.
