Wyn Gruffydd
Wyn was born in Cardiff South Wales. He attended hotel school for 3 years, receiving many diplomas in cooking, nutrition and overall foodservices management. He was apprenticed with Ind Coope, a large UK hotel, conference centre owner and operator, worked at many locations throughout the UK. In 1967, he emigrated and worked as chef with CN, onboard Bluenose II, chartering in the Caribbean for a year and a half. Wyn joined Beaver Foods a privately owned nationwide foodservices company as Regional Manager overseeing multiple foodservices accounts in Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He also worked at ARAMARK, a worldwide foodservices company in 1987 as Regional Manager, overseeing business dining, healthcare and higher education accounts throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He retired in 2016 but continues to work with ARAMARK as consultant to many ARAMARK accounts.
Wyn has a high degree of proficiency in food preparation, teaching those skills to others and takes great pleasure in passing on those skills, especially to those less fortunate. Wyn has volunteered at Greener Village for the past three years
