Leslie has an extensive background in the non-profit sector in Fredericton including ten years as Executive Director of the John Howard Society of Fredericton as well as hands-on community developing and networking skills. This strong commitment to her community resulted in receiving the Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for community service. She held many positions with the government of New Brunswick including Regional Director of Human Resources, Horizon Health Network. Today as a First Aid Instructor and Mental Health First Aider, Leslie continues to work within her community.

Leslie is a strong supporter of the Greener Village vision of reducing food insecurity and believes in the philosophy of offering a hand up as well as a handout. As the Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee, she is committed to promoting Greener Village as an employer that recruits and retains a high performing and diverse workforce, and in fostering a healthy, safe, and productive work environment for employees and the public.
